Coffee Talk Tuesday with Jill Krause

Coffee Talk Tuesday is going to feature Photographers, Bloggers, and Artist telling candid answers to quick fire questions. It will be featured every Tuesday with someone new and completely awesome.

This week is starting off with a BANG! We are featuring Jill Krause of Baby Rabies. Jill is an amazing storyteller and well she doesn't sugar coat motherhood, which honestly needs to happen in this world! Her humor on Baby Rabies(babyrabies.com), shines through with ever single blog post, and will have you laughing on the floor. If you haven't checked out her blog, it needs to be a must. I recently asked Jill to do an installment of Coffee Talk Tuesday and within minutes she agreed. To say I was dancing around my house like a crazy person would pretty much describe it.

The Fun Questions:
What are your favorite items in your closet right now?

A pair of Yummie Tummie leggings, a Gap jean jacket, scarves, comfy Acardigans and boots- basically, anything you can’t wear when it’s 105 degrees out, like it is now.
What item is missing from your closet that you can’t bring yourself to buy?
Proper summer clothes? And probably proper jammies, too. I can just never shell out for the matching pj sets when I have so many old college and race t-shirts hanging around.

It’s pouring outside, you have no plans for the day, what do you do?
If both the kids are home with me, I’d turn on some Nick Jr., make a pot of coffee, and it’s possible none of us would get out of our jammies or brush our teeth all day. I’d probably write while the kids play. I might be a cool mom and dress the boy in his rain jacket so he can jump puddles in the back yard. There is a very small chance I would do something productive like dishes or laundry.

You’re out on to town, and miraculously your favorite celebrity walks by..Who is it and do you snap their picture paparazzi style?
It’s Joel McHale. I probably make a total fan-girl mess of myself, and come off completely unfunny to one of my most funny idols. It would be a tragic mess. I sort of hope I never run into him so this doesn’t happen.

Where are your favorite places to shop?
Target? I mean, I can think of better places to shop, but I don’t frequent them enough to call them a favorite. I’m a really cliché suburban mom like that.

If you could have a dream photography session with your family/friends what would it be like?
I dream of having a photographer follow us around for 12 hours, just quietly snapping in the background, capturing all the small moments that pass by. I know I take them for granted now: the organized chaos of breakfast time, the sleepy snuggles at naptime, the quiet coordination between my husband and I as we work to get everyone to bed. I would love to have all those daily, mundane, beautiful moments captured and preserved.

Quick Which One Do you Like Better:
Chocolate or Vanilla- Chocolate- as IF that is even a choice ;)
Pouring Rain or Sunny Day- It’s August and 105 right now, I’m choosing rainy day
Vail or Nantucket – Neither? Both sound like a place I would be terribly uncomfortable in all my non-refined, loudness. I liked Sonoma. It was classy without being stuffy… and there was wine.
Flats or Heels- flats
Lipstick or Gloss- gloss
Mexican or Italian – TACOS!! (I’m sort of obsessed with them right now.)
Anthropologie or TJ Maxx- Reality or Fantasy? I love Anthro, but I only get their pieces off Ebay. TJMaxx is more likely to fulfill my shopping therapy needs.
SUV or Car – We have one of each. I prefer the feel of an SUV, but I know I’m killing baby seals every time I drive it. I would, ideally, love a hybrid (or even electric) SUV someday.
Pedicure or Massage- Massage. Every time I get a pedicure, I have to warn the lady I might kick her in the face because I’m so ticklish.
Adventures in the Rainforest or Weekend at the Spa- S.P.A.

Thanks Jill!
